Michigan soldier receives new headstone

Civil War soldier Sgt. John P. Sinclair, member of the 1st MI LA, Battery C, was honored on October 17, 2009 by members of Robinsons Battery, the Robert Finch SoUV camp and a good showing of reenactors and spectators alike.

Members of Robinsons Battery, led by Captain John Hughes of Battle Creek, MI, carpooled and caravanned from various spots throughout Michigan to Oakwood Cemetery near Traverse City, MI to pay honor to a Civil War veteran that had been without a headstone for over 95 years.

Upon arrival, the group met up with members of the Robert Finch camp of the Sons of Union Veterans, off loaded the cannon and set it   <<Full Story >>
